Control correspondence contains the carbon copies of the governor's replies to letters filed in the central correspondence subject file. Organized alphabetically by name, this correspondence has the appropriate subject heading typed on it, and that subject heading in the central file should contain both the original letter received and additional carbon copy of the governor's reply. However, some of the original incoming correspondence seems to have been mistakenly filed with the control correspondence.
